花を生けるという行為は皮肉にも花を切ることから始まる。
元来、風景のなかに根を張り、場所に繋がれた生命は、「生ける」ことでむしろ、もと居た場から引きはがされ、意図された空間の一部として再構成される。

書と画の境界、字と図の差異、そんなことを長らく考えて制作してきた。版を刀で彫っている間は、字も絵も等しく「線」でしかない。私は描写も筆記も一つの版の上に重ね、それぞれが持つ意味を一度宙に吊る。この意図的な連続性の断絶は、生けること＝切ること、名づけること＝失われることの交差点に立つ。

線は、配置されるものではなく、切削の末、露出するものである。
風景から剥がれ落ちたとき、それはただ一度、裂け目として開かれる。

The act of flower arrangement paradoxically begins with cutting the flower. Originally rooted in the landscape and bound to its place, the life of the flower is torn from its former ground and reassembled as part of a space shaped by intention.
For a long time, I have explored the boundary between writing and drawing, the distinction between character and image. While carving a plate, letters and pictures alike become nothing more than lines. I layer depiction and inscription onto the same surface, suspending their meanings in midair. This deliberate break in continuity stands at the intersection where arranging equals cutting, and naming equals erasure— a point marked not by presence, but by a refusal to be applicable.
Lines are not placed; they are revealed through incision. When detached from arrangement, they appear—just once—as a rupture, exposed and unformed, a fleeting crack in the skin of the visible.
